A combination of a carrier or at least one polymer and at least one anti- angiogenic factor. In the preferred embodiment, the anti-angiogenic factor is selected from a group including paclitaxel, paclitaxel derivatives and paclitaxel analogues. The combination may further comprise a solid support, which in the preferred embodiment is a stent. The stent, in situ, has a passageway therethrough and is coated on at least a portion of an outer surface or is otherwise suitably provided with the anti-angiogenic factor.
