BST2 antibodies are sorted by employing their ability of binding to splicing variants of a human BST2 antigen as a measure. As a result, a BST2 antibody capable of specifically recognizing BST2D (which is a substance reported to be expressed in a cancer cell at a high level) can be successfully obtained. The antibody can bind to a BST2D-expressing cell specifically. When the antibody is used for therapy, it becomes possible to inhibit the non- specific binding of the antibody to a tissue other than a target tissue (wherein the non-specific binding can cause the decrease in the concentration of the antibody in the blood). Also disclosed is a diagnostic agent comprising the antibody, which can specifically detect a BST2D-expressing tissue.

Les anticorps BST2 se distinguent par l'utilisation comme mesure de leur capacité à se lier à des variants d'épissage d'un antigène BST2 humain. On peut ainsi réussir à obtenir un anticorps BST2 capable de reconnaître spécifiquement la BST2D (qui est une substance indiquée comme étant exprimée dans une cellule cancéreuse à un niveau élevé). L'anticorps peut se lier spécifiquement à une cellule exprimant la BST2D. Lorsque l'anticorps est utilisé en thérapie, il devient possible d'inhiber la liaison non spécifique de l'anticorps à un tissu autre qu'un tissu cible (dans lequel la liaison non spécifique peut provoquer la diminution de la concentration de l'anticorps dans le sang). La présente invention a également pour objet un agent diagnostique comprenant l'anticorps, qui peut détecter spécifiquement un tissu exprimant la BST2D.
