A monoclonal antibody, or fragments thereof, having binding specificity for both endoglin expressed on proliferating human vascular endothelial cells and on proliferating murine endothelial cells. Antiangiogenic therapy in mammals can be effected by administering to the mammalian host a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-endoglin monoclonal antibody, or fragments thereof, which is conjugated to at least one angiogenesis inhibitor or antitumor agent. The composition is useful for treating tumor and angiogenesis-associated diseases.
Anticorps monoclonal, ou des fragments de celui-ci, ayant une spécificité de liaison pour l'endogline exprimée sur des cellules andothéliales vasculaires humaines de prolifération et aussi sur les cellules endothéliales et sur les cellules endothéliales murines de prolifération. Il est possible d'avoir recours à une thérapie antiangiogénique chez des mammifères en leur administrant une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'un anticorps monoclonal anti-endogline, ou un fragment de celui-ci, conjugué à au moins un inhibiteur d'angiogenèse ou un agent anti-tumeur. La composition est utile pour traiter des maladies associées aux tumeurs ou à une angiogenèse.
