This invention relates to ribozymes which cleave Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) at CUC sites. Suitable ribozymes may, for example, cleave at GGCUCUCUCGUCCC, CCUCAGCUCUGUAUCG or GAGGACUCUUGGA recognition sequences in HBV RNA. Ribozymal DNA, vector systems and pharmaceutical compositions are provided which may be useful, for example, in the treatment of HBV infection.
L'invention concerne des ribozymes clivant le virus de l'hépatite B (VHB) au niveau des sites CUC. Des ribozymes appropriés peuvent, par exemple, effectuer le clivage au niveau des séquences de reconnaissance GGCUCUCUCGUCCC, CCUCAGCUCUGUAUCG ou GAGGACUCUUGGA dans l'ARN de HBV. L'invention concerne également de l'ADN ribozymal, des systèmes vectoriels et des compositions pharmaceutiques pouvant être utiles, par exemple, dans le traitement d'une infection à VHB.
