ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A composition for use in preventing the formation of ice comprising: (A) organopolysiloxane resin represented by the structural unit Image wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or monovalent organic group attached to the silicon atom by a carbon-to-silicon bond, R' represents a hydrogen atom, C1 to C20 alkyl group, acyl group, aryl group, or oxime residue, n and m are each 1, 2 or 3 and n plus m is 1, 2 or 3 and (B) alkali metal compound represented by the formula Ma ?X? wherein M represents alkali metal selected from Li, Na and K, X represents inorganic or organic acid group or hydroxyl group and a is an integer of 1 to 4.
