ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Anti-human insulin-like growth factor II monoclonal antibodies having extremely high antigenic specificity and differing in recognition site, and a process for preparing the same. The monoclonal antibodies which recognize human insulin-like growth factor II, but do not recognize human insulin-like growth factor I are obtained by using, as an antigen, a palpated derived from human insulin-like growth factor II by replacing the 43rd amino acid with leucine. The monoclonal antibodies are obtained from monoclonal antibody- producing hybridoma cells. -46-
