ABSTRACT: New hydrogenated 1-oxo-isoindoline derivatives having a strong anti-inflammatory activity may be prepared by reducing the corresponding hydrogenated, 1,3-dioxo- isoindoline derivative to the 3-hydroxy-1-oxo-isoindoline derivative and then further reducing, dehydrating or hydrolizing this compound.
