ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Anti-inflammatory 4,5-diaryl-2-(substituted-thio)- imidazoles and their corresponding dulcoxides and sulfones, which are useful for treating arthritis and related diseases, are disclosed. The imidazoles are of the formula Image where n = 0-3; R1 is alkyl, allyl, vinyl, -CH2COCH3, CH2S(O)m- CH3 where m is 0-2, mono- or polyhaloalkyl; and R2 and R3, the same or different, are Image where Y1 and Y2, the same or different, are hydrogen, hydroxy, alkyl and specified halogen and halogen-, nitrogen-, oxygen- and/or sulfur-substituted radicals.
