It is intended to provide an antibody which specifically recognizes the stereostructure of the extracellular domain of a polypeptide encoded by PERP (p53 apoptosis effector related to PMP-22) gene and binds to the extracellular domain. This antibody is useful in treating various diseases associated with the overexpression of the polypeptide encoded by PERP gene. Furthermore, this antibody makes it possible to specifically detect the polypeptide encoded by PERP gene or a cell expressing this polypeptide by an immunological procedure and, therefore, is useful in diagnosing various diseases in which PERP participates.
Cette invention vise à fournir un anticorps qui reconnaît spécifiquement la stéréostructure du domaine extracellulaire d~un polypeptide encodé par le gène PERP (effecteur d~apoptose p53 lié à PMP-22) et qui se lie au domaine extracellulaire. Cet anticorps est utile dans le cadre du traitement de diverses maladies associées à la surexpression d'un polypeptide encodé par le gène PERP. En outre, cet anticorps permet de détecter spécifiquement le polypeptide encodé par le gène PERP ou une cellule exprimant ce polypeptide par une procédure immunologique et qui est, par conséquent, utile dans le cadre du diagnostic de diverses maladies auxquelles participe le gène PERP.
