ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE : An anti-rust agent comprising a solution of a binding agent and a corrosion-preventing compound. The anti-rust agent of the invention is characterized in that the binding agent is tall oil pitch neutralized with calcium oxide and having an acid number between o and 25 KOH per g. It may be sprayed on a metallic surface, whereby a film 19 produced which adheres well to the metallic surface. Tests carried out in the corrosion cabinet have revealed that the neutralized tall oil pitch solu- tion containing inhibitor affords a good protection against cor- rosion when sprayed on a metallic surface.
