A shielding grid constructed of a radiation absorbing material for use with an array of discreet, non contiguous radiation sensors to protect such sensors from scattered radiation. The sensors each have a radiation sensitive area with a width (Ws) and length (Ls). In designing the grid a prototile (50) having a prototile width (Wp) is equal to the radiation sensitive area width (Ws) divided by an integer and the prototile length is also equal to the radiation sensitive area length divided by an integer. The prototile contains a motif (52) contained solely within the prototile that forms a pattern when a plurality of prototiles sufficient to cover the array of discreet sensor are arrayed contiguously. The grid is constructed with the radiation absorbing material in this pattern.
L'invention concerne une grille de protection constituée d'un matériau absorbant le rayonnement destiné à être utilisé avec un réseau de capteurs de rayonnement non contigus discrets afin de protéger ces capteurs du rayonnement diffusé. Les capteurs présentent chacun une surface sensible au rayonnement ayant une largeur (Ws) et une longueur (Ls). Dans la conception de la grille, on a développé un pavé primitif (50) ayant une largeur (Wp) et une longueur (Lp) de pavé primitif. La largeur (Wp) du pavé primitif est égale à la largeur de la surface (Ws) sensible au rayonnement divisée par un nombre entier, et la longueur du pavé primitif est aussi égale à la longueur de la surface sensible au rayonnement divisée par un nombre entier. Le pavé primitif contient un dessin (52) contenu uniquement à l'intérieur du pavé primitif formant un motif lorsqu'une pluralité de pavés primitifs suffisants pour recouvrir le réseau de détecteurs discrets sont agencés de façon contiguë. La grille est construite avec le matériau absorbant le rayonnement dans ce motif.
