ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An anti-skid tire apparatus with a cover structure which has grooves formed on the tread thereof. The anti-skid tire apparatus also includes of a plurality of "U"-shaped cleats with jagged edges permanently affixed on apertures in the grooves, at fixed intervals along the tread of the cover structure. A rubber belt, with a buckle on its two loose ends passes through rubber looped straps which are sewn into the fastening slots formed on the external sidewall of the cover structure.
