A system for surgically stabilising the backbone is disclosed. The system is useful for preventing slippage of the joining bars on the vertebral attachment means. For this purpose, the joining bars are provided at predetermined intervals with spherical bulges having a greater diameter than said bar, which is thus somewhat dumbbell-shaped and has a length adapted to the morphological features of the spine.

Le système selon l'invention est destiné à pallier au ripage des barres de jonction sur les moyens de fixation aux vertèbres. Pour ce faire, les barres de jonction sont munies à intervalles définis de renflements sphériques de diamètre supérieur à celui de ladite barre qui se présente comme un haltère dont la longueur est adaptée aux caractéristiques morphologiques du rachis.
