A composition having increased electrical conductivity, comprising a liquid hydrocarbon and an anti-static amount of a hydrocarbon soluble copolymer of an alkylvinyl monomer and a cationic vinyl monomer. The copolymer has an alkylvinyl monomer unit to cationic vinyl monomer unit ratio of from about 1:1 to about 10:1, and has an average molecular weight of from about 800 to about 1,000,000. Other related compositions and methods for measuring electrical conductivity of liquide are also disclosed.

Cette invention se rapporte à une composition ayant une conductivité électrique accrue, qui comprend un hydrocarbure liquide et une quantité antistatique d'un copolymère soluble en hydrocarbures constitué par un monomère d'alkylvinyle et par un monomère de vinyle cationique. Ce copolymère possède un rapport entre l'unité monomère d'alkylvinyle et l'unité monomère de vinyle cationique qui est compris entre environ 1/1 et environ 10/1 et il possède un poids moléculaire moyen compris entre environ 800 et environ 1 000 000.
