An anti-theft/anti-car-jacking device for motor vehicles is disclosed, which upon activation shuts off the source of fuel to start or run the vehicle' engine. The device includes a switch built into the electric circuit to the fuelpump motor, and is located in a normally unreachable spot, so that it cannot be overcome by an unauthorized person, whether an amateur or professional thief. The switch is activated by a coded radio signal from a transmitter, which can be hand held and activated or built into the driver's seat of the vehicle and activated by release of the driver's weight on the seat. The coded signal may be chosen from many (e.g., 4000 + ) codes. The system may also include a delay function to prevent activation of the switch for several minutes, for a driver's safety after a car-jacking. Besides the absolute protection it provides to the car owners and to the insurance companies, it will be of immeasurable help to the work of the police, because stolen vehicles are used in almost all criminal cases.
