An antibody that binds TNF.alpha. and neutralizes its activity is provided. In certain cases, the antibody comprises: a) a heavy chain variable domain comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least 95 % identical to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1, and b) a light chain variable domain comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least 95 % identical to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 2.
