ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides an anti-tumor agent evidenced to be effective in suppressing the growth of Ehrlich's cancer cells, Lewis lung cancer cells and B-16 melanoma cells both in vitro and in vivo, which comprises as active ingredient an .omega.-(aminoalkylthio)alkyl trihydrocarbyl silane of the general formula Image , in which R is a hydro- gen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R1 is an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom and m and n are each an integer from 1 to 6, or a salt form thereof such as the hydro- chloride or acetate. In particular, 2-(2-aminoethylthio)ethyl trimethyl silane, which is a novel compound not reported in prior art literatures, was synthesized and tested for anti-tumor activity.
