A b s t r a c t The invention relates to a novel antibacterial pharmaceutical composition that can be used especially in the veterinary medicine and/or a fodder premix having antibacterial activity. The novel pharmaceutical compositions and/or fodder premixes comprise 2-(methoxycarbonyl-hydrazono- methylene)quinoxaline-1,4-dioxide, 2-methyl-5,7-dichloro- 8-hydroxyquinoline and optionally 4-dimethylamino- 3,5,6,10,12,12a-hexahydroxy-6-methyl-1,11-dioxo- 1,4,4a,5,5a,6,11,12a-octahydronaphthacene-2-carboxymide and/or 2,4-diamino-5-(3',4',5'-trimethoxybenzyl)pyrimidide, furthermore one or more carriers usually employed in pharmaceutical compositions and/or fodder premixes. The novel pharmaceutical compositions and/or fodder premixes of the invention are especially suitable for both the prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of atrophic rhinitis.
