ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a process for preparing a novel antibiotic A-28086 complex which comprises cultivating Streptomyces aureofaciens NRRL 5758 in a culture medium con- taining assimilable sources of carbohydrate, nitrogen, and inorganic salts under submerged aerobic fermentation conditions until a substantial amount of antibiotic activity is produced by said organism in said culture medium.
