ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This disclosure describes 5 new antibacterial agents designated BM123.alpha., BM123.beta.1, BM123.beta.2, BM123.gamma.1, and BM123.gamma.2 produced in a microbiological fermentation under controlled conditions using a new strain of an undetermined species of Nocardia and mutants thereof. The new antibacterial agents are active against a variety of microorganisms and thus are useful in inhibiting the growth of such bacteria wherever the may be found.
