The present invention provides antibodies that immunospecifÊcally bind to a polypeptide of a mammalian metapneumovirus, compositions comprising said antibodies, and methods for producing such antibodies. In particular, the invention provides monoclonal antibodies that immunospecifically bind to the F protein of human metapneumovirus and that neutralize human metapneumovirus. The invention also provides antibodies that cross-react with both the F protein of a mammalian metapneumovirus and the F protein of a mammalian respiratory syncytial virus and that neutralize both viruses. Further, the invention provides recombinant antibodies, such as humanized antibodies, against mammalian metapneumovirus, and methods for producing such recombinant antibodies. The invention further provides methods for treating, managing, ameliorating symptoms of and/or preventing infections with mammalian metapneumovirus, such as human metapneumovirus. The invention also provides antibodies that immunospecifically bind the F protein of avian pneumovirus. Antibodies that immunospecifically bind the F protein of avian pneumovirus are useful in the diagnosis and treatment of infections with avian pneumovirus.
La présente invention concerne des anticorps immunospécifiquement liés à un polypeptide d'un métapneumovirus d'un mammifère, des compositions contenant lesdits anticorps, et des procédés d'obtention de tels anticorps. L'invention concerne, en particulier, des anticorps monoclonaux se liant immunospécifiquement à la protéine F du métapneumovirus humain et neutralisant le métapneumovirus humain. L'invention concerne en outre des anticorps réagissant, à la fois, avec la protéine F d'un métapneumovirus du mammifère et avec la protéine F d'un virus syncytial respiratoire du mammifère et neutralisant les deux virus. L'invention concerne encore des anticorps recombinants, notamment des anticorps humanisés, dirigés contre le métapneumovirus du mammifère et des procédés d'obtention de tels anticorps recombinants. L'invention concerne par ailleurs des méthodes de traitement, de gestion, d'amélioration des symptômes et/ou de prévention d'infections causées par le métapneumovirus du mammifère, notamment le métapneumovirus humain. L'invention concerne des anticorps se liant immunospécifiquement à la protéine F d'un pneumovirus aviaire. Les anticorps se liant immunospécifiquement à la protéine F d'un pneumovirus aviaire servent à diagnostiquer et traiter les infections causées par le pneumovirus aviaire.
