The invention relates, in part, to antibodies with increased ADCC activity. Methods of producing such antibodies are also provided. The antibodies of the invention are produced in mammary epithelial cells, such as those in a non- human transgenic animal engineered to express and secrete the antibody in its milk. The antibodies or compositions comprising the antibodies can be used to treat disease in which ADCC activity provides a benefit. In one embodiment, therefore, the antibodies or compositions comprising the antibodies can be used to treat cancer, lymphoproliferative disease or autoimmune disease.
L'invention concerne notamment des anticorps ayant une meilleure activité cytotoxique cellulaire dépendant des anticorps (ADCC) ainsi que leurs procédés de production. Les anticorps selon l'invention sont produits dans les cellules épithéliales mammaires, notamment celles d'un animal transgénique non humain, génétiquement modifiées pour exprimer et sécréter ces anticorps dans son lait. Les anticorps ou les compositions contenant ces anticorps peuvent permettre de traiter la maladie pour laquelle l'activité ADCC constitue un bénéfice. Dans un mode de réalisation, les anticorps ou les compositions contenant les anticorps peuvent permettre de traiter le cancer, une maladie lymphoproliférative ou une maladie autoimmune.
