Humanized anti-IL-8 monoclonal antibodies and variants thereof are described for use in diagnostic applications and in the treatment of inflammatory disorders. Also described is a conjugate formed by an antibody fragment covalently attached to a non-proteinaceous polymer, wherein the apparent size of the conjugate is at least about 500 kD. The conjugate exhibits substantially improved half-life, mean residence time, and/or clearance rate in circulation as compared to the underivatized parental antibody fragment.
L'invention concerne des anticorps monoclonaux humanisés anti-IL-8, et leurs variantes, conçus pour être utilisés afin d'effectuer des diagnostics et de traiter des maladies inflammatoires. Elle concerne également un conjugué constitué par un fragment d'anticorps à liaison covalente avec un polymère non protéiné, la dimension apparente de ce conjugué étant d'au moins 500 kD. Ce conjugué présente une demi-vie, un temps moyen de séjour et/ou une vitesse de résolution en circulation sensiblement améliorés par rapport au fragment d'anticorps originel non soumis à une dérivatisation.
