The invention relates to peptides containing sequences of amino-acids originated from mycoplasms, particularly the protein Mg Pa of adhesine of M. genitalium, and more particularly polypeptides which have a sequence homology with proteins or glycoproteins of HIV. A representative polypeptide is characterized by the sequence G V V S T P L V N L I N G Q. These peptides, and the corresponding antibodies, are applicable in the prevention or inhibition of infections by HIV.
