This invention relates to the application of hydrophobic interaction chromatography combination chromatography to the purification of antibody molecule proteins. The process may include the sequential steps of Protein A affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, and hydrophobic interaction chromatography. Purified monomeric IgG antibody, free of immunoglobulin aggregates, misfolded species, host cell protein, and Protein A, may be recovered by the process.
