To prevent a collision between first and second mobiles, such as travelling cranes, on a common movement path, a method implemented in the first mobile entails measuring a first distance between the first mobile and an origin in a fixed system of axes and a second distance between the first and second mobiles. The method comprises the steps of determining a first speed of the first mobile in the system of axes and a second speed of the first mobile relative to the second mobile in order to deduce a third speed of the second mobile in the system of axes, then of estimating a safety margin between the first and second mobiles, then of comparing the safety margin with a threshold to generate a collision risk factor, and finally of deciding on an action at drive motors of the first mobile as a function of the sign of the first, second and third speeds and the collision risk factor.
Afin de prévenir une collision entre un premier et un deuxième mobiles, comme des appareils de levage mobiles, sur une voie commune de déplacement, un moyen implanté dans le premier mobile nécessite de mesurer une première distance entre le premier mobile et un point d'origine dans un système fixe d'axes et une deuxième distance entre le premier et le deuxième mobiles. La méthode comprend les étapes suivantes : déterminer une première vitesse du premier mobile dans le système d'axes et une deuxième vitesse du premier mobile par rapport au deuxième mobile afin de déduire une troisième vitesse du deuxième mobile dans le système d'axes, puis estimer une marge de sécurité entre le premier et le deuxième mobiles, puis comparer la marge de sécurité à un seuil pour produire un facteur de risque de collision et, finalement, décider d'une mesure au niveau des moteurs d'entraînement du premier mobile en fonction de l'indication de la première, de la deuxième et de la troisième vitesses et du facteur de risque de collision.
