The present invention relates to a method for treating a surface of zinc or of an alloy of zinc and aluminium, said method comprising the step of treating said surface with an aqueous solution having a pH of below 3 and comprising a complex formed from at least one species of metal oxo ion in conjunction with at least one species of hetero ion, the metal oxo ion being selected from the group consisting of molybdate, tungstate and vanadate; the hetero ion being selected from the group consisting of phosphorous (V), aluminium (III), silicon (IV), manganese (II), manganese (IV), zirconium (IV), titanium (IV), tin (IV), cerium (III) and nickel (II); and with a film forming acid tolerant resin compatible with the selected ions.

Procédé de traitement d'une surface en zinc ou en alliage de zinc et d'aluminium. Il consiste à traiter la surface au moyen d'une solution aqueuse présentant un pH inférieur à 3 et comportant un complexe formé à partir d'au moins une espèce d'ion oxo métallique associé à au moins une espèce d'ion hétéro, l'ion oxo métallique étant sélectionné dans le groupe constitué de molybdate, tungstate et vanadate, et l'ion hétéro étant sélectionné dans le groupe constitué de phosphore (V), aluminium (III), silicium (IV), manganèse (II), manganèse (IV), zirconium (IV), titane (IV), étain (IV), cérium (III) et nickel (II); et d'une résine filmogène tolérant des acides et compatible avec les ions sélectionnés.
