An antidiabetic agent contains a spherical carbon (for example, an activated spherical carbon or a spherical carbonaceous adsorbent) as an active ingredient. The antidiabetic agent can be used for treating diabetes, preferably by using internally as an oral medicine and may be not painful to a patient differently from conventional injections of insulin. Unlike conventional antidiabetics, the antidiabetic agent may not induce hypoglycemia.

Un agent antidiabétique contient un carbone sphérique (p. ex., un carbone sphérique activé ou un adsorbant carboné sphérique) comme principe actif. Il peut être administré pour traiter le diabète, de préférence, par voie orale, sans causer de douleur au patient par opposition aux injections d'insuline classiques. De plus, il ne provoque pas d'hypoglycémie contrairement aux antidiabétiques courants.
