A toxicological friendly antifreeze composition having improved thermal stability is provided. In one embodiment, the antifreeze composition comprises from 5 to 80 wt. % of an aqueous freezing point depressant selected from alkali metal salts of acetates, formates, proprionates, adipiates, and succinates, and mixtures thereof; 0.1 to 10 wt. % of at least one of a 2-ethylhex-anoic acid, isononanoic acid and 3,5,5-trimethylhexanoic acid; and 0.1 to 10 wt. % of at least one of octanoic acid, nonanoic acid, decanoic acid, undecanoic acid, dodecanoic acid, neodecanoic acid, benzoic acid, 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, p-terbutylbenzoic acid, and mixtures thereof. In one embodiment, the composition is employed as a concentrate in admixture with 10 to 90 wt. % water.
La présente invention concerne une composition antigel non nocive d'un point de vue toxicologique ayant une stabilité thermique accrue. Dans un mode de réalisation, la composition antigel comprend de 5 à 80 % en poids d'un agent aqueux diminuant le point de congélation, choisi parmi les sels de métal alcalin d'acétates, formates, proprionates, adipiates, et succinates, et leurs mélanges ; 0,1 à 10 % en poids d'au moins un composant parmi l'acide 2-éthylhexanoïque, l'acide isononanoïque et l'acide 3,5,5-triméthylhexanoïque ; et 0,1 à 10 % en poids d'au moins un composant parmi l'acide octanoïque, l'acide nonanoïque, l'acide décanoïque, l'acide undécanoïque, l'acide dodécanoïque, l'acide benzoïque, l'acide 2-hydroxybenzoïque, l'acide p-terbutylbenzoïque et leurs mélanges. Dans un mode de réalisation, la composition est utilisée en mélange avec 10 à 90 % en poids d'eau.
