The invention relates to the use of a protein as antifungic agent which has at least an enzymatic .alpha.-(1,3)-glucanase activity, antifungic compositions which comprise said protein and methods for controlling, preventing and/or treating infections caused by pathogen fungi of plants, animals, including persons, culture contaminants and food contaminants.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'une protéine comme agent antifongique possédant au moins une activité enzymatique .alpha.-(1,3)-glucanase, des compositions antifongiques comprenant cette protéine et des procédés permettant de lutter, de prévenir et/ou de traiter les infections causées par des champignons pathogènes des plantes, des animaux, y compris l'homme, des contaminants de cultures et des contaminants d'aliments.
