The present invention relates to novel antigenic compositions suitable for parenteral and mucosal administration, comprising an antigen within an aqueous medium and a carbohydrate, wherein the carbohydrate is in the form of a derivative which exhibit acidic moieties, preferably in the form of its carboxylic acid derivative. The antigenic compositions are in a stable solid form and, after reconstitution with a liquid excipient or adjuvant followed by administration through the parenteral or mucosal route, rapidly dissolve in the body fluids, thereby releasing the reconstituted vaccine into the body. Specifically, the lyophilised form may consist of a powder or a cake containing the antigen, preferably in an amorphous (glassy) state, which is formed from a liquid solution or suspension by drying or sublimation, preferably sublimation by lyophilisation.
L'invention concerne de nouvelles compositions antigéniques, conçues pour être administrées de manière parentérale et par les muqueuses et comprenant un antigène contenu à l'intérieur d'un support aqueux et d'un carbohydrate, ledit carbohydrate se présentant sous la forme d'un dérivé qui présente des fractions acides, de préférence sous forme de ses dérivés d'acide carboxylique. Les compositions antigéniques sont sous une forme stable solide, après reconstitution au moyen d'un excipient liquide ou d'un adjuvant suivie d'une administration par voie parentérale ou par les muqueuses, d'une dissolution rapide dans les fluides du corps, tout en libérant le vaccin reconstitué dans le corps. De manière spécifique, la forme lyophilisée peut se présenter sous la forme d'une poudre ou d'un pain contenant l'antigène, de préférence dans des conditions amorphes (vitreux), qui est formé à partir d'une solution liquide ou d'une suspension par séchage ou volatilisation, de préférence volatilisation par lyophilisation.
