ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A composition for topical administration to reduce the intraocular pressure of a glaucomatous eye with little or no initial increase in the intraocular pressure, reduced contralateral effect, and reduced mydriasis. The composition comprises an aqueous solution having as active ingredient a compound of the formula Image and nontoxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid salts thereof. The active ingredient is present in amount of about 0.001 to about 0.2 wt.% of the solution. The addition salt may be the hydrochloride or perchlorate.
