ABSTRACT An antiinflammatory analgestic gelled ointment is dis- closed which comprises indomethacin, a medium consisting of a glycol, alcohol and water, a gelling agent selected from cellulose and a carboxyvinyl polymer which has been neutralized with an amine, and water sufficiently enough to make up with the balance. Such gelled ointment has an excellent anti- inflammatory activity.
