ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT FOR LATEX Abstract of the Disclosure An improved method is provided for inhibiting the growth of microorganisms in a latex comprising one or more synthetic polymers, said process comprising admixing with said latex an antimicrobially effective amount of an antimicrobial agent selected from chlorine dioxide gas, aqueous solutions of chlorine dioxide, and two or more chemical compounds which react upon mixing to form chlorine dioxide.
