L'invention a pour objet une formulation antimicrobienne sous forme d'un gel pour nettoyer et désinfecter la peau et y laisser des traces d'un composé d'argent capable de contrer le développement de micro-organismes pour ultérieurement entrer en contact avec l'épiderme. Cette formulation est constituée essentiellement d'un mélange comprenant au moins un alcool tel que l'alcool éthylique et/ou l'alcool isopropylique, de l'eau, un agent épaississant et une dispersion contenant de l'argent. De préférence, l'argent est présent sous la forme de nanoparticules d'un sel, tel que nanoparticules de chlorure d'argent.
