Hot melt adhesive compositions suitable for a variety of applications, especially in nonwoven disposable articles, are prepared by blending various adhesive components with a bacteriostat. The bacteriostat is incorporated into the adhesive compositions in sufficient amounts to inhibit the growth of various microorganisms, particularly bacteria. The preferred bacteriostat is triclosan in amounts of 0.0 1 % to 5 % by weight.
L'invention concerne des compositions adhésives thermofusibles convenant pour une variété d'applications, notamment pour des article jetables non tissés, préparées par mélange de divers composants adhésifs comprenant un bactériostatique. Ledit bactériostatique est incorporé en quantités suffisantes dans les compositions adhésives afin d'inhiber la croissance de micro-organismes variés, en particulier des bactéries. Le bactériostatique préféré est le triclosan qui représente 0,0 1 % à 5 % en poids.
