The present invention provides a particle comprising at least one aliphatic polymer having anti-microbially active quaternary ammonium groups chemically bound thereto. The particle of the invention may be used to inhibit populations of microorganisms and biofilms. Also provided are methods for the preparation of such particles and uses thereof for the inhibition of microorganisms.
La présente invention concerne une particule comprenant au moins un polymère aliphatique possédant des groupes ammonium quaternaires à activité antimicrobienne lui étant liés chimiquement. Ladite particule peut servir à inhiber es populations de micro-organismes et la formation de biofilms. L'invention porte également sur des procédés de préparation de cette particule et d'utilisation de celle-ci en vue de l'inhibition de micro-organismes.
