-15- ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of controlling fouling in the reboiler and distillation columns employed in the production of polybutadiene is disclosed. The addition of ascorbic acid or ascorbic acid in combination with an unhindered or partially hindered phenol such as p-methoxy phenol to polybutadiene production equipment effectively controls fouling.
