2069421 9108669 PCTABS00005 The present invention provides antiparasitic compositions for animal use which contain as the active ingredient pyraclofos (or a pyraclofos-related compound) alone, or a combination of pyraclofos with a benzimidazole. Compositions are effective in the prevention, treatment, control and/or removal of internal and external parasites and, in particular, effective in killing benzimidazole-resistent helminths at dosage levels non-toxic to the animal. Methods for such use are also included herein.
