The present invention is directed to a composition comprising an antiperspirant salt suspended in a carrier vehicle thickened with a silicone latex. The composition typically comprises about 50 to 90 % carrier vehicle, which is advantageously substantially comprised of a volatile silicone, about 3 to 30 % antiperspirant salt, which is typically an aluminum chlorohydrate or aluminum-zirconium chlorohydrate, and about 3-25 % silicone latex. Preferably the composition will contain an auxiliary thickening agent such as a fumed silica, hydrated silica or trihydroxystearin, typically in an amount of 0.01 to 10 %. The composition will preferably have a viscosity of about 12,000 to 20,000,000 cP. The present invention also embraces an apparatus for delivering the above-described composition when formulated with a medium viscosity of about 12,000 to 50,000 cP, said apparatus having a porous dome with a porosity of about 150µm to 400µm through which the composition is delivered.
La présente invention concerne une composition comprenant un sel antisudoral en suspension dans un véhicule excipient épaissi avec un latex silicone. La composition comprend typiquement environ 50 à 90 % d'un véhicule excipient, lequel se compose sensiblement avantageusement d'une silicone volatile, environ de 3-30 % d'un sel antisudoral, lequel est typiquement un chlorohydrate d'aluminium ou un chlorohydrate d'aluminium-zirconium, et environ de 3-25 % de latex silicone. La composition contient de préférence un agent d'épaississement auxiliaire tel que de la silice sublimée, de la silice hydratée ou de la trihydroxystéarine, typiquement en une quantité comprise entre 0,01 % et 10 %. La composition présente de préférence une viscosité comprise entre 12 000 et 20 000 000 cP. La présente invention concerne également un appareil de distribution de la composition précitée lorsqu'elle est formulée avec une viscosité du milieu comprise entre environ 12 000 et 50 000 cP, ledit appareil présentant un dôme poreux, dont la porosité est comprise entre environ 150 mu m et 400 mu m, par lequel la composition est distribuée.
