Antiperspirant compositions comprising an astringent aluminium or zirconium salt can suffer from perceived irritancy when applied topically, which can be ameliorated or overcome by incorporating within the composition a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) activating fatty acid and/or hydrolysable precursor thereof such as triglyceride or ester of the PPAR, especially in an amount selected in the range of from 0.5 to 10 wt. %. The compositions advantageously comprise an activated aluminium salt or aluminium- zirconium glycine complex.
Certaines compositions antisudorifiques renfermant un sel astringent d'aluminium ou de zirconium peuvent causer une irritation de la peau. Pour réduire ou éliminer le risque d'irritation, on introduit des acides gras activant les récepteurs activés par les proliférateurs des peroxysomes (PPAR) et/ou des précurseurs hydrolysables de ces derniers, tels qu'un triglycéride ou un ester du PPAR, en une quantité sélectionnée comprise entre 0,5 et 10 % en masse, dans les compositions. Ces compositions comprennent avantageusement un sel d'aluminium activé ou un complexe aluminium-zirconium glycine.
