The present invention contemplates a translucent, preferably clear, anhydrous gel composition (for example a solid stick, soft solid, cream as well as any form commonly referred to as a gel), especially an antiperspirant stick composition, comprising: (a) dibenzylidene sorbitol; (b) a selected derivatized guar, especially a hydroxy C3-C4 alkyl guar having a level of hydroxyalkylation of 0.4-1.5 molar substitution ("MS"); and (c) a solvent selected so that it will not react with the DBS itself or, if an acid catalyst is present, will not react in the presence of DBS with an acid catalyst such as an antiperspirant active salt.
La présente invention a trait à une composition de gel anhydre, de préférence clair, translucide (par exemple un bâton solide, un solide mou, une crème ainsi que toute forme appelée communément gel), en particulier à une composition de bâton antisudoral renfermant: (a) du dibenzylidène sorbitol (DBS); (b) un guar sélectionné obtenu par dérivatisation, en particulier un guar hydroxyalkylé en C¿3?-C¿4? présentant un degré d'hydroxyalkylation de 0,4-1,5 de substitution molaire ("MS"); et (c) un solvant sélectionné de sorte qu'il ne réagisse pas avec le DBS lui-même ou, si un catalyseur acide est présent, qu'il ne réagisse pas en présence de DBS et d'un catalyseur acide tel qu'un sel actif antisudoral.
