- 257 - ABSTRACT Antisense compounds which are complementary to a genome derived from hepatitis C virus (HCV) were provided. Because the antisense compounds of the present invention act specifically on mRNA of HCV and inhibits translation of HCV gene, they may be useful as an antiviral agent.
