2065294 9103260 PCTABS00003 Oligonucleotides are provided having a nucleotide sequence complementary to at least a portion of the mRNA transcript of the human c-abl gene. These ''antisense'' oligonucleotides are hybridizable to the c-abl mRNA transcript. Such oligonucleotides are useful in inhibiting proliferation of myeloid cells, particularly in myelo-proliferative disorders such as chronic myelogenous leukemia.
