ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An antistatic composition useful to reduce the pr??nsity of multilayer elements to accumulate static electrical charge comprises an aqueous dispersion of (a) a film-forming binder; (b) a hardener for the binder; (c) a substantially transparent matting agent having particles with a diameter in the range of from about 1 to about 50 microns and a specific gravity substantially the same as that of water; (d) a highly electrically conductive, noncrystallizable conductivity agent; and (e) a charge control agent. This antistatic composition is specially useful as an image-receiving layer on substantially transparent image-receiving elements. Such image-receiving elements can be formed into projection-viewable transparencies by an electrographic copy process, which transparencies are considerably less likely to stick to one another or jam in electrographic copier/duplicator equipment than currently available transparencies.
