An aerosol medication delivery apparatus (50) include a holding chamber (4, 20) having an input end (6) and an output end (14) and defining an interior space (19). In one embodiment, the holding chamber is antistatic and is made of a plastic material having a surface resistivity of between about 10E 10 and about 10E 12 ohm/sq. In another embodiment, a component, such as a backpiece (22) or mouthpiece (102, 108, 110), separate from the holding chamber, is antistatic and is made of a material having a surface resistivity of between about 10E10 and about 10E12 ohm/sq. The component is connected to the holding chamber, which may or may not be antistatic. In one embodiment, the component is made of an elastomeric material. In one embodiment, at least a portion of the holding chamber and/or component is see~through. Various methods for introducing an aerosol into the holding chamber at the input end thereof and inhaling the aerosol through the output end are also provided.
L'invention concerne un appareil (50) pour l'administration de médicaments aérosols, comportant une chambre formant réceptacle (4,20) possédant une extrémité d'entrée (6) et une extrémité de sortie (14) et définissant un espace intérieur (19). Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un composant, par exemple une pièce arrière (22) ou un embout buccal (102, 108, 110), distinct de la chambre formant réceptacle, est antistatique et est constitué d'un matériau présentant une résistivité superficielle comprise entre environ 10E10 et environ 10E12 ohm/sq. Ce composant est relié à la chambre formant réceptacle, laquelle peut être ou ne pas être antistatique. Dans encore un autre mode de réalisation, le composant est constitué d'un matériau élastomère. Dans un dernier mode de réalisation, au moins une partie de la chambre formant réceptacle et / ou du composant est transparente. Sont également décrites diverses méthodes permettant d'introduire, au niveau de l'extrémité d'entrée de la chambre formant réceptacle, un aérosol et d'inhaler ce dernier au niveau de l'extrémité de sortie.
