ABSTRACT A method for measuring the antistreptolysin rating directly in a sample of human blood is provided, according to which a diluted blood sample is admixed with a solution of oxidized O-streptolysin, then incubated and subsequently reacted with a reducing solution and incubated again. Readings are taken of a hemolysis basis and blood, rather than scrum, can directly be used for testing.
