ANTITHEFT APPARATUS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An antitheft apparatus has a control unit, a locking device, a lock, a vibration detector, a microswitch, a loud speaker, and a remote control. The locking device, having a solenoid which has an actuating rod at one end thereof, and a transmission rod connected between the actuating rod and a lock, allows the lock to be opened only if the solenoid thereof is actuated. The remote control is allowed to emit a door opening command to the control unit which in turn actuates the solenoid of the locking device and opens the lock. The microswitch is engaged to the actuating rod thus when the actuating rod retracts, the microswitch will respond to generate a door opening signal to the control unit. The control unit determines to actuate the loud speaker to alarm if the door opening is not from the command from the remote con- trol.
