Antitumour isocoumarins are of general formula (III) where R is -CONH2 or - CH(CH3)2, or a pharmaceutically acceptable addition salt thereof. The compound wherein R is -CONH2 is the known compound amicoumacin A. The compound wherein is -CH(CH3)2 is a new compound which can be obtained from fermentation of the new marine bacterium Bacillus sp. strain M-00-PHD-090, CECT 4546.

Isocoumarines antitumorales de formule générale (III) dans laquelle R est -CONH¿2? ou -CH(CH¿3?)¿2? ou un sel d'addition pharmaceutiquement acceptable desdites substances. Le composé dans lequel R est -CONH¿2? est le composé connu amicoumacine A. Le composé dans lequel R est -CH(CH¿3?)¿2? est un nouveau composé qui peut être obtenu à partir de la fermentation de la nouvelle souche bactérienne marine M-00-PHD-090, CECT 4546 de Bacillus sp.
