An antitussive, which can be used for therapy or prophylaxyis of coughing, is disclosed. The antitussive comprises as an effective ingredient a morphinan derivative having a nitrogen-containing cyclic substituent or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, having a specific structure, such as the compound below [N-(17-cyclopeopylmethyl-4,5.alpha.-epoxy-3,14-dihydroxy- morphinan- 6.beta.-yl)-3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalimide]. The antitussive has an excellent therapeutic or prophylactic effect against coughing and the side effects thereof are small. (see above formula)
La présente invention a pour objet un agent antitussif pouvant être appliqué au traitement prophylactique ou thérapeutique de la toux. L'agent antitussif comprend, au titre de principe actif, un dérivé spécifique de morphinane portant un substituant cyclique azoté tel que le [N-(17-cyclopropylméthyl-4,5a-époxy-3,14-dihydroxy-morphinan-6ß-yl)-3,4,5,6-tétrahydrophtalimide] représenté par la formule ci-dessous ou un sel d'addition acide de qualité pharmacologique dudit dérivé. L'agent antitussif présente un excellent effet thérapeutique ou prophylactique sur la toux et produit peu d'effets secondaires indésirables. [Formule chimique]
